Submitted my app on 11/4, about when should I expect my desicion?
@billybobby54 some students have already been informed about honors along with their acceptance but from what I gather others won’t hear until later. I guess it might depend on the students stats etc?
@Mom1997 My son’s major disappeared before he got his acceptance.
Thanks! My daughter’s is still there so I guess we will be waiting longer.
@AmyBeth68 Did you call and ask about why no acceptance letter on portal for you daughter?
@mom1997 My daughter’s major disappeared on the portal about 36 hours before acceptance.
@billybobby54 There have been acceptance letters sent that also include admission to honors.
Good luck to all.
@burghdad I did…but they weren’t particularly forthcoming. They just said to keep checking back and that a lot of applications are still being reviewed for Honors. So I’m thinking perhaps it’s in a pile of apps and they don’t want to link to the letter until they make a decision? They also told me that there will be a written snail-mail packet that students will receive in a few weeks time at most. They were a bit coy haha…I think they don’t want to say anything because they don’t know where she stands with honors at this point. But she was definitely accepted…so that’s good news!
I am literally a ball of jitters and keep checking the portal at least once an hour!! My D did not apply to Honors so i may be a mess for awhile lol!!
PS I find this thread so helpful! Thx for all the great info so far, everyone!!
Glad I’m not the only one going to the portal every hour. DD’s major is still there
I have not received an email confirming that my application has been completed, but I know it has been since 10/24. Should I email admissions to make sure they have everything they need?
Still waiting for them to finish “uploading everything to my profile.” This waiting is really the worst part. Ugh.
My daughter got her acceptance today!
my D deferred act 32 and 3.4 weighted gpa. Maybe Delaware is harder this year?
What’s mean of deferred? I think UD is rolling admission. Do they send you a type of letter?
My D is waiting to hear. Her friend from another school just got in with a ACT of 26 and a 90 GPA which is around 3.3- 3.4 In addition, I know this friend didn’t take many, if any, AP courses. My D has a 95 GPA, which around a 3.6-3.8 and a 29 ACT. She is waiting to hear. Your D’s stats (32 ACT) seemed like she should have gotten in easily.
My son received his acceptance yesterday - 31 ACT 3.9 GPA
@zt26kid did your D apply to a competitive major? I do think the major you apply to makes a difference.
Does UD superscore the ACT? Will appreciate if anyone is aware. Thanks in advance!
Additionally, my daughter is a hardworking student with a 24 ACT (superscore), 4 AP Classes, student council treasurer, and awesome extracurriculars. She took the ACT for the last time on 1028… waiting for results. She applied as an Elementary Ed major, and would love to go to Delaware. Is there a high chance of her getting rejected? We are out of state, unfortunately… Any input is very much appreciated. Thank you.
@wcgch2p UD does not superscore the ACT only the SAT.
