We are visiting DE soon and would like to receive current students' views on student life on campus. Our older son currently attends Penn St and loves it- is very involved in Thon, ComRadio, etc. Our younger son tends to compare schools to Penn St since he also has a very favorable impression. Can current DE students provide some details on how they would decribe school spirit for the D1 athletics program, campus activities, opportunities for freshman to get acclimated and just how much fun it is to go to DE Thanks

Most students get really into the football games and they are a lot of fun. People attend the Basketball games as well, but its not the same and not nearly as popular. The bball games are fun too, if you can find someone to go with you. Free tshirts distributed at games are always nice.

There’s a ton going on on campus, check out www.SCPAB.com. They host a real comedian every Tuesday (for free), a (usually local) band every week (also free) and a recently out of theaters movie on Wednesday ($2), Friday and Saturday ($3). There is also special events that come up. Last semester OAR played a concert and next month the guys from ESPN’s pardon the interruption will be doing a show.

There’s also plenty of clubs to join and at the beginning of each semester there is a big fair where they recruit members.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks very much for your input. Just want to be sure that you are speaking as a current DE student? If so, can you tell me what year you are in. And, do you know anything about the experience of students in the Sports Management/Coaching majors?

Yes, I am currently a freshmen. Don’t know anyone in the sports management program, sorry.

I know we can order textbooks online, but how do we pay for them? Are they paid for out of the tuition? And, are they shipped to the student’s home address? How does this all work?
Thank you!!
Terry

S just ordered his textbooks from Liebermans, which was significantly less expensive than the UD bookstore. [Liebermans Bookstore](<a href=“LubOnline.com is for sale | HugeDomains”>LubOnline.com is for sale | HugeDomains)
You don’t have them sent to your home - they’re held for you. You can either pay by credit card ahead of time, or pay when you pick them up. (Liebermans is right on Main St.)

Thanks for the information!
Can you tell me - are the textbooks part of the tuition loan? How do we pay for the textbooks with that money if they are?
Thank you again!

Your best bet is to contact the Financial Aid office and ask them.
