Hi.
I am a senior from New Jersey who got accepted to the College of Engineering at UD. I didn’t get into Rutgers University for engineering, but I was admitted into a pre-engineering program at Rutgers Newark.
Financially, I will be able to get a full ride this year at Rutgers thanks to grants, however I am stuck in a University I really do not like. I can transfer to SOE at Rutgers New Brunswick, but I really don’t feel that happy taking buses and the huge size of the class does scare me a lot. Also, I am still pretty confused on how UD accepted me yet Rutgers New Brunswick rejected me. It’s kinda crazy.
UD seems to be a nice fit because the size of the school is small and that its in a nice spot for Aerospace. Boeing is nearby, and NASA is just 2 hours away.
I just want to know what makes these two stand apart, which is better, and why?
Rutgers New Brunswick school of Engineering is quite competitive, so don’t be too shocked about the fact that you did not get in at first. If you have the opportunity to transfer to Rutgers New Brunswick, I highly recommend it. The education at new brunswick is definitely worth it. The large campus size can be intimidating, however, there are multiple campuses within this university. If you are in the engineering school, I believe you will be on busch campus. It is an advantage to have different campuses, because you can limit your studying to certain campuses and your social activities to other campuses. The job outlook for people who have attended that school is high, and the social life there is amazing as well.
However, I don’t have much of an opinion about University of Delaware but I do know that Rutgers New Brunswick Engineering is more competitive.
Hope I helped!
