Would it be better to take some classes at Rutgers Newark then transfer to SOE in nb or go to NJIT for 4 years? Rutgers nb is right in my backyard but I’d have to commute to NJIT. Also is it hard to get into soe from Newark?
@YungIrving99 If you’re going to start at RU Newark, you may want to consider the Pre-Engineering program there. See http://www.ncas.rutgers.edu/engineering. It’s a two year program and the transfer to SOE is automatic provided you complete the coursework with a certain GPA. As to whether you should do that over NJIT depends on how much you like NJIT and how much you want to finish at SOE. Essentially, you’re trading off a four year experience where you can make extended connections (NJIT) with the convenience of having a much shorter commute in your final two years.
Also, if you’re thinking about RU Newark and then transferring, have you considered starting at Middlesex County College instead? They probably have an articulation agreement with SOE.
Also, (obvious question), why not start out at SOE in the first place?
