i was looking on the DU instagram page, and one of the posts said that " Those red dots are not COVID outbreaks. They represent more than 14,400 first-year and transfer students admitted to the @UofDenver for Fall 2021". the caption was referring to a map of the country that had dots representing where the people from the class of 2025 are from. I was just wondering if 14,400 was the number of undergrads going to DU this fall? Because DU is a private school, and typically has about 5,000-6,000 undergrads total, so i’m not sure if this is a typo or if there actually is a significant increase. Does anyone know the undergrad population for this fall?
No. According to your quote, “They represent more than 14,400 first-year and transfer students admitted to the @UofDenver for Fall 2021”. Admitted are the kids who received acceptance letters, many of whom will not enroll.
Most of whom will not enroll. = Yield = percent of admitted students who matriculate (attend) at that particular school.
