I am interested in applying here, does anyone know anything about it? The social life, academics, professors etc? Also I know it is big in business, but what about the sciences? I am interested in environmental science and it has the major, I am just not sure about how good of a program it is. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

I know about a million people who go there, but they come home and talk about funny anecdotes about their floormates, not the school. Meh.

DU is most certainly not known for its sciences. I am a scientist in the Denver area (I live a couple of miles from DU). If you really like business administration or real estate law (shudder) then DU is a fabulous place despite its super high price. If you are interested in environmental science, find a place with more than a handful of faculty in the department.

I went on the Hyde Interview for DU and I looked at the school ("looked at" being the key words - I didn't go on a tour) and I didn't like it very much. I mean, there were three people interviewing me and one of them was a professor and he lacked charisma and personality. I know that's only one example of the school, but if they sent such a dull person to conduct an interview... well, I don't know what I'd say for the school itself!
