Not quite last year I believe merit went about a week later.

From this article:
Harvard rejects 25% of applicants with perfect SAT scores.
Penn and Duke reject 3 out of 5 Valedictorians.
There are over 43,000 Valedictorians in US schools each year. The eight Ivy League schools admit a combined 23,000 in 2017. Add to that the total number of freshmen applicants accepted in 2017 at Northwestern, MIT, Stanford, Duke, and the University of Chicago, and you’ve increased the number of admitted students to only 35,806.

So UF does not let you know today if you will get merit? Some schools will let you know in the acceptance letter that you will get aid, with amount TBD…

Just trying to figure out if UF will be full boat for us OOS or if we will get some incentive… Guess we have to wait another week…

Thank you for all your help and insight!

This world needs both! Best of luck to your son,

What types of merit aid are available at UF for OOS other than Benacquisto? Sorry if I misspelled.

Melissa, is it too much to ask what are the merit opportunities for us In-State? Other than Bright Futures, that is. Thank you!

We do not give a lot of merit scholarships but they are in the link I posted.

If we were all gathered together at the Swamp, we could be cheering Melissa on in Gator style with chants of Blue and Orange for being there for everyone today. :crocodile::clap:
