University of Florida 2025 — Regular Decision

I have a looooong list, haha. Being an international student on an international curriculum I honestly wasn’t very sure how competitive I was so cast a huge net.
Alabama, Baylor, CU Boulder, Duke, Florida, UGA, LSU, Nebraska, UNC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, South Carolina, USC, Stanford, Tennessee, TCU, Vanderbilt, UVA, Wake Forest.

What about your daughter?

She is applying to a total of 10 universities, and there is not as much of an overlap with your choice:

My son was accepted for Fall. He and my husband (c/o ‘96) are so thrilled! He has moved every 2 years for his whole life and he has never even been to Gainesville (thanks COVID), can’t wait for him to start his UF journey.

So sorry for those with bad news, we went through that last week with Virginia Tech.

-1430 SAT
-US military base high school overseas so GPA isn’t comparable - 7 APs and 1 “B” on transcript
-Currently show residency pending but active duty parent is resident

Go Gators!!

Are you allowed to live on campus with PACE?

Son got in. Honors and Research Program. 35 ACT/14 APs, 9 exams taken so far. 5 on six of them; 4 on three. Top 10% of class, probably 5%.

Congratulations to all who got in and best of luck to all of you!

Sorry your son is disappointed but he has great options. What is the benefit of Florida Honors? My son was not interested in the honors dorm. I assume priority registration? Anything else?

I don’t think so, I’m afraid.

96 was the best year!

I thought it was the honors dorm and priority registration for honors classes, but I’m happy to be corrected if I’m wrong

Accepted, but no honor.

No PaCE students do not live in residence halls but there are apartments that act like private dorms that interest students.

Not sure what I’m going to do. Sounds awful doing online only classes for 2 straight years

A parent in Facebook said you are, but said there is a limited amount of time to do it. Check out the parents group on FB

You have been accepted with honor - just not into the honors college

Lol honestly

Is that true? I heard you can’t

I think the parent is mistaken unfortunately. According to the PaCE website you can’t.
