University of Florida or University of Texas-Austin

I've been accepted to UF for Computer Science and I'm fairly certain that i'll get into UT for Computer Science as well. The schools rank very similar to each other and I am having the hardest time deciding which school would be a better fit. I love the campuses of both schools and what they have to other and they're almost equal in my eyes... can anyone give me some pros and cons of both schools or which one would be better?

Where do you plan on living after undergrad? That would have to be a factor.

My plan is to do either a tech start-up or work in the aerospace industry (spacex, nasa, etc). So any of the tech areas in the US are preferable. Orlando and Austin are both pretty big tech areas too.

I’d go with Texas.

Gainesville is not Orlando. Gainesville is a small college town. Austin is a more bustling place. Assuming you’re resident of neither state, UT is probably more fun.

You can work anywhere in the county with a UF engineering/comp-sci degree and a high GPA.

But why limit yourself to a county?

I was deferred from UT so I’m a Florida Gator now!!
