I have a question about the University of Florida regarding selecting summer or fall term.
I have heard it is easier to get into if you select summer? I am borderline for Fall. I feel like I have a good essay and extracurricular. My GPA & SAT are good I guess, but they’re below average at UF. I would rather not do summer term, because I want to work at a Young Life camp this summer. If I apply for Fall and don’t get in, can I/will I get offered admission for Summer? is that a definite or possibility? looking for some answers, maybe someone who knows from personal experience. Thanks so much!
There actually is no difference between summer and fall. You are only putting your preference about when you would like to start. If you have summer plans then you should apply for fall.
I know this reply is coming past the November deadline but UF shows no preference for summer or fall applicants. If you want to do something over summer, I hope you applied for Fall. They can offer you admission in the summer for space reasons, but there is no admissions advantage that come with applying for the summer term.
