University of Florida

I am applying as an out-of-state applicant from Pennsylvania. My GPA is a 3.85 with straight honors courses. My SAT is an 1800 and I have a 26 on the ACT. I have also totaled over 800 hours of community service during my high school career.

What are my chances of admission and for receiving out-of-state scholarships. I know the scholarships are for 8000, 16000, or 20000 a year and the financial aid would be really important in my decision to go there.

My other top schools are Penn State and University of Maryland, so if anyone knows anything about those, let me know.

I am still looking for schools to apply to, so if anyone has suggestions based on my scores where I could get good scholarships, let me know.

Thanks!

We recently attended a UF campus visit, and I have some admissions literature.

They report that in the fall of 2014, the average SAT score for admitted freshmen was 1960. The average GPA (weighted on their scale) was 4.4.

Your GPA and SAT are probably good enough to get in if the GPA is unweighted. You probably won’t get scholarships at any of the schools you mentioned.

Thanks. Do you have any suggestions for schools where I could receive scholarship? Or any scholarships that would be good to apply for that are mainly service-based.

@Kabramowich did you ever find out about any scholarships, i am a prospective UF student
