University of Illinois - Chicago

Hello, I'm currently going to Georgia state university. However I am going to move to illinois on December and was wondering what my chances would be in getting into University of Illinois - Chicago. My gpa is a 2.89 with 60 credits. However, only 45 will transfer into the university and my gpa with the 45credits will be 2.79.. If i do well in the fall i can put it up to 3.08. Do i have a good chance in getting in or should I look at other options?

Is the university of illinois - chicago business school any good?
Thanks

anyone???

I am not familiar with UICs admissions. I would contact someone from admissions directly. A second option would be to go to community college for a semester to boost your grades with filler classes then transfer.

I’m not sure of your chances either.

UIC’s business school is alright if you want to work in Chicago, otherwise the school is not a standout.

Soo can any1 chance me

I would put you anywhere between 25-45% if you got your GPA up to a 3.0. It could happen.

According to their website minimum to transfer into business is GPA 2.5, 24 credit hours at time of application, 36 at time of enrollment. They also said that having English Composition I and II; Finite Math; and Business Calculus I or Calculus I completed is preferred.

I assuming you can get in.

thanks juggernaut! that gave me a little more confidence haha anyone else know about uic?

All you had to do was look on their website. I would also contact one of their transfer admission adviser.

UIC notoriously has very low minimum requirements, but the competitive requirements are normally quite a bit higher. If you can get above a 3.0, you’ll be a fairly good shape.
