I think it depends on the applicant. Colleges sometimes want more data for various reasons. For example, if you have shown or even highlighted an upward trend in grades they might want to be sure that continues by requesting quarter grades.

@bigboy97 We got onto Maine Street so late that I do not know a time sequence. But we have had colleges request first quarter grades.

That means they are looking at your application and not just tossing it aside. It can be a very good thing. Hang in there and try not to let the nerves get the best of you.

My son applied also, said incomplete on Maine Street for a while and now he has the green circle that says complete. Is there a chance that will turn into a green check of acceptance? @bigboy97, have you heard yet? Best of luck.
@MassMom123 Umaine told me over Christmas break that they needed my First Quarter Grades, and I wasn’t able to send them until I got back from vacation earlier this week, so I’m still waiting on a response. I’m planning on giving them a call tomorrow if I still don’t have an answer.
Thanks @bigboy97. My son sent his app in on Dec 14 and they probably rec’d his transcript including first quarter grades about a week or so later … so we’ll see. Good luck to you. Let me know if you can and I’ll do the same.
Accepted with $13,000 flagship scholarship!!
My son applied on December 20th and got the “Accepted” check mark today. Will wait to see what comes in the mail. He got into his first 3 choices, Ohio State, Penn State and UMass Amherst along with UNH and Providence College. Waiting on UConn and Fordham, though I think Ohio State is going to be the choice.
