University of Maryland - College Park EA Class of 2023

@bestmanager1 Aerospace is a limited enrollment program meaning small amount of seats. My son applied for the same and was accepted instead through the School of Arts and Letters. They are suggesting a Freshman Connection program for the Fall semester. We are OOS and have other options to pursue.

Looks like my son’s application may have been missing an academic recommendation. The request was definitely sent, application showed 100% complete, and UMD never alerted him to any missing items. I see that RD deadline was 1/20–is he now shut out from that too?

does UMD hold admitted students days, to provide further opportunity to look around and ask questions relevant to major of interest?

I was accepted. OOS 1220 SAT 4.0 UW GPA, captain of 3 sports, NHS president, lots of community service, summer job, 8 dual credit courses and 4 AP and 10 honor classes. Accepted into Animal
Science and the Carillion Community- not sure what that is though. Good luck to everyone.

Anyone accepted for education?

Thank you so much for responding. He was admitted into the school of Engineering. I just don’t understand the “” after aerospace. It’s not b/c it’s a limited enrollment, b/c his twin sister got a different limited enrollment - no “”.

Accepted

im from cali and still havent gotten my decision. checked everywhere, anyone in the same boat??

Accepted. OOS. International Studies. 4.2 GPA & 31 ACT, Varsity Captain of Cross Country & Track & Field. Received a 4 year ROTC scholarship.

@Goldendaisies7 I had a similar problem - counselor recommendation was never received I emailed UMD multiple times they said my application might still be considered priority if she contacted them and she did but they never got back to her. The rec was in by 1/20 for mr though so I am not sure but I would call or ask. I hate coalition.

What does letters and sciences mean? They put that as my major

@Goldendaisies7 Please tell me when you find out if I will even be considered in regular decision. We are both in the same boat it seems. Thanks!

That’s really awful that the admissions counselor told the hs counselor to re-add it to Coalition, and then UMD refused to look at Coalition items after the submit date. I am really disappointed in Coalition interface and communication in general.

were you able to do the honors form? We keep getting an “invalid form” message
