@umd080612 someone earlier in the thread mentioned that last year they released it at 8pm and the year before at 4:45. they might release later than 8 this year since there’s more applications, but everything is just a speculation at the moment.
MODERATOR’S NOTE:.
As an FYI, if the college has not announced that decisions have been released, I work under the assumption that any account that was created 5 nanoseconds before their first post and proclaims an acceptance is a spammer, and I will ban that account. Which is what I did here.
I know the EA app was extended till Nov 15 for areas affected by the hurricanes. Am I a resident of NC we were affected here, do y’all believe my decision will also come out today?
Ok, I was checking my coalition and sundenly all the buttons disappear and the screen is frozen. Try to reload several times but nothing
Any ideas?
checklist still on my page
same
My checklist is also still there
Yeah it’s back for me. It may have just been a glitch and might not have anything to do with admissions. We will see in about an hour hopefully.
Thanks
They send out an email when it posts, don’t they? So why is everyone checking the site? Can’t you just check once you get the email?
@unicornlover123 @allen20
because the website couldn’t handle the traffic last year and it was a disaster.
For those saying they are admitting a freshman class of 4,000 spots - that number sounds too low as the total undergrad size is 28k so freshman class should be around 7k. Were you specifically referring to the number of spots they are trying to fill in the EA round?
is it coming out today?
@adlgel Here are the admit stats for past 3 years
Year Apps Admit Enroll
2018 35,568 15,856 4,714
2017 34,017 15,184 4,143
2016 30,389 14,649 4,553
@adigal - The 4,000 number comes directly from UMD, but does not include those in Freshman Connection, which is probably another 1,000… Going past Freshman year, there are probably part-time students
Decisions are out. We are in-state MD. Rejected.
what time is the New York wave typically?
out of state- rejected
Accepted to UMD, Engineering and Honors College
