Lol let’s really hope for the second
idk if this helps but I know historically that they have released some decisions on a friday. When I applied my senior year of high school, I found out on Jan 29th (a friday).
@SingingSiren I don’t think you will have a problem. You have a non-LEP major. You have a good chance. You didn’t like AU? I am still considering that school.
@sbk0021 I hate AU a LOT-- what are you considering it for (major)? I’ll answer any questions you have about it
@SingingSiren I am planning on majoring in Accounting at the business school. I thought the campus was nice, nothing like CP. How is the student body… I haven’t heard good things
@sbk0021 Ah-- Kogod/SIS/SPA/SOC (the specialization schools) are in general better than CAS (which I’ve been in mostly, with some SOC classes) I took one Kogod class this semester and the people seem to like it better – I have friends in Accounting if you want me to ask them anything but Student Body depends where you are from/what you want. To be frank in general it’s not very diverse in terms of race, it’s very heavily female based, especially some majors, though Kogod should be pretty even and there are more international students in Kogod. The students are very very liberal and usually all come from the north east. They have usually this dichotomy of being well off/upper class because of how expensive the school is, but not being necc. the top of their class since AU isn’t a super hard school academically to get into, but has a good reputation for some majors-- so students sometimes can be full of themselves/entitled undeservingly. Sorry if that sounds harsh that’s just my point of view
Where are you coming from?
This is messing me up. Looking like no decision today, hopefully Monday. Damn!
My friend transferred from American to Rutgers because the student body was so bad. She said the same thing, you’re paying for the name not the education… I did my first year of college at Rutgers and transferred to a MD CC for my second (my family move to MD from NJ). Thankfully all my classes transferred and it was a seamless transition.
This is starting to get ridiculous, they need to let us know
@sbk0021 My roommate is from NJ and had considered that too! Right now she is in the process of transferring to a different school as well. That’s good you had a easy time transferring credits that is my concern right now for going to UMD if I get in.
I just called admissions (talked to the woman with the british accent). She said they are really behind schedule and will not be releasing the decisions this week. Early next week is the goal.
They’re still saying decisions will be released “this month” on twitter
@SingingSiren I am really lucky everything transferred. My friend that transferred from AU to RU has to take an additional semester of classes because everything didn’t transfer.
Where are you seeing this on Twitter? When I look at Admissions twitter, I don’t see any of those tweets.
Are you sure it’s the official admissions twitter? Because that’s where I’ve been checking and there have been students tweeting them about decisions all week and they’re sticking with “this month”
@ProudMom2012 Look at applymaryland twitter.
Let’s hope we hear by 5 today, or else I’ll give up all hope.
if you look at the applymaryland twitter ‘tweets and replies’ it comes up
I just spoke with someone in regards to my recommendation that I thought was never received. Lucky, they did get it but was never reflected on my portal. The lady also said I will know my decision by the end of next week.
Kiiiiill meeeeeeeeee
