i am still waiting! i turned my stuff in a while ago and haven’t heart back i got 32 transferable units according to the site that lets you see what courses transfer i am transferring from a ca community college so i actually have 42 and will have 54 by the end of the semester but the wait is killing me i have applied to 8 schools and have heard back from only one

I have been checking online but so far nothing has changed.

@snwerner same here i check at least twice a day and nothing has changed

Just spoke to the admissions office and they said all reg decision applicants will be notified the last week of June. The website now reflects the change:

“Applicants who complete their applications after March 1, but prior to or on June 1st secondary deadline will receive their decisions in the last week of June. Completed applications received after June 1st will be reviewed on a space-available basis. Please note that because of enrollment pressures and in order to serve transfer students better, we no longer release transfer admission decisions on a rolling basis.”

Hi I’m a junior in HS atm and i was thinking about transferring to UMD-CP for fall 2012 (after 1 year at a CC or state school)…

How selective are they?

Do they offer good fin. aid for transfers? what if you’re OOS?

^^^^ same here and what is the average GPA of transfers?

just keep in mind that if you have less than 30 units completed by the time you apply they will look at your high school record.
Straight from the site,
“If you have completed fewer than 30 semester or 45 quarter hours, request that an official copy of your final high school transcript (as well as SAT I and/or ACT scores for students who graduated high school in the past three years) be sent directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Students with any non-U.S. secondary school credentials must provide academic records in the original language with a certified English translation. Students who did not graduate from a regionally accredited high school must submit official results of the Tests of General Education Development (GED). Students who were home schooled should provide a transcript complete with: course descriptions, books used, methods of evaluation and the grades received.”

in terms of the pool they get like 6,580 applicants (in 2008) and are accepted 3,830 (2008). this is coming from the us news college ranking issue as far as the gpa goes i am not 100% sure but i would imagine anything north of a 3.3 and you should be more than fine

hey can someone chance me while we wait? I went to a marlyand community college and ended up getting a 2.67 for the fall as a freshman and a 3.23 for the spring. My accumulative gpa is a 3.0. Because I only had 22 credits I sent my high school (dc) transcript where I got a 3.2 and was very active in sports, football and crew.
