Someone please respond…
Maryland Honors might be my number 1 choice because I live in Virginia.

You should get it with very high chance

are u sure???
would it be a reach or a safety or in between.

bump…

Just match, you will get in, make sure apply EA

i’m not planning to apply ED, cuz i’LL have to withdraw my other apps.

Does this decrease my chances??

UMDCP does not have ED, only EA, it does not affect the application to the other colleges

What is the difference between ED and EA?

And what are my chances if I apply EA or if I apply regular.

Thanks so much!!

UMD has Priority deadline, which means you will go into an earlier pool of applicants. It is non-binding i believe.

sarcasmrules is right.
For Maryland, no any doubt, you MUST apply early before November 1 by many reasons.
People only apply regular if at that time they think SAT or ACT score is still not good enough, they will take more test after November 1. You will feel very sorry if you do not apply EA.

Actually I am a current UMD student, and the honors program is pretty tough. I had similar stat (2160, 3.8 gpa, good ECs) and very few students get in. I did however get into the College Park Scholars program which is a living learning program that goes on your diploma etc, so maybe try for that!
