My friend’s daughter got off the waitlist yesterday. They called. Her older son is a current UMiami student. OOS - CA.

Daughter with excellent stats- and ECs- captain of 2 varsity sports, 4.0, 1400 SAT, and sister of alum. Got an email to switch from EA to ED2, switched, deferred, now waitlisted! Like NOW WHAT? what’s the latest we can expect to hear? I just don’t get it. What else can they want!?!? I’m stumped. Obv committed at her 2nd choice- but still hoping for a pleasant surprise- technically they said latest JUNE 15th.
Thoughts?
My daughter is waiting too. She’s classical voice, will be highly unlikely.
But waiting until June like y’all.
Wonder if there’s been anymore more movement from waitlist.

June 8th I received an email stating that " we are keeping a small number of highly interested students on our summer waitlist in the unlikely event circumstances change over the coming weeks. If the University of Miami remains your top choice and you would like to be a part of this group, no later than Sunday, June 11"
