@adharma do you mean the view decision link or like the entire page
The entire page. I checked now, and it showed back up.
hello!! so im a transfer student, and i just got my spring 2019 grades back and i ended up getting four A’s and a C- … italian really isnt my thing lol. when i applied for the fall term, admissions told me to keep up a strong academic record and apply for the next term, so i pushed my application back from fall 2019 to winter 2020. do you think the four A’s would still count as building up a strong academic record? or would the C- royally screw up my chances?
do we think something might come out tomorrow?
I wouldn’t think that. Historical timing is closer to end of May and even into June. Just wishful thinking otherwise
@kmalin hey dude congrats on the great grades! I’d say you shouldn’t have a problem. 4 A’s is a lot, and Italian is one of those subjects where they may just over look it (you know what I’m saying). You have a great shot dude. Keep high hopes like the rest of us here!
So I applied to Michigan as a Ross pre admit but was waitlisted at LSA. I understand that Ross does not allow for students to apply again to Ross if rejected but was wondering if I would still be able to apply to Ross if I was accepted off the waitlist as my Ross application was never reviewed.
@ComputerSci2019 You should be able to, You may check with admission office for sure.
@omnom2169 thank you! I hope you end up getting in!!
did anyone else get an email that said this ??
"Dear ___ :
After an individualized and comprehensive review of your application for admission to the University of Michigan, we regret that we are not able to offer you a place in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts for Fall 2019.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions considers many factors in evaluating transfer applicants to the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) including the number of credit hours completed in transferable course work, the grades earned in this coursework, the progress toward completion of general LSA degree requirements, as well as an applicant’s personal characteristics, background, and essay responses. Because you do not have enough transferable credits to be at junior standing, we also considered your academic record from high school, including your GPA and your standardized test scores.
The quality of academic work you demonstrated last semester was impressive, and it was noted in the evaluation of your application.
If your interest in attending the University of Michigan continues, you should continue to build upon the strong academic performance you have shown and update your application for consideration for the next available term. Please request this update in writing prior to the deadline of your desired new term of entry. Also include the name of the institution you are attending, course title(s), course number(s), and number of credit hours you will complete prior to the desired term of entry. If a new application fee or additional information is required, we will notify you. For more information, go to https://umich.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/471.
The interest you have shown in the University is appreciated, and we extend to you our best wishes for success in the achievement of your educational goals.
Sincerely,
Erica L. Sanders
Director"

I did not get a above type email ; i applied for freshman term and got waitlisted; waiting for Final decision like other who have been waitlisted.
-
When did u get above email? Did you get above email After you got waitlisted? Or right after you applied?
And, looking at the email content, seems like, unfortunately, you are not offered the place @ LSA.
- Which university you are in now as you seemed to be transfer student.
Anyways,
Best of luck
I got that email as a transfer student, I applied in november and got that email in january. my wolverine access still has my decision to view (i didn’t get in for the fall semester), but as the above email states, I rolled over my application for the next available semester, which is winter 2020. I go to a small private college about 15 miles north of NYC and i had a letter of recommendation from my boss and one from my English professor, who got her masters at NYU. I feel that my essays were great, but unfortunately, since i didn’t have enough transferrable credits, they wanted my high school grades (they were horrendous), so im assuming that’s why i got that email and not the uniform rejection letter.
Any updates for anyone? I talked to some friends that got in off waitlist last year. Earliest date I heard an acceptance on was May 24th. Which seems accurate.
Got an email from regional rep- said will likely be Mid-June if they go to wait list for LSA if at all. Yield has been very close to target and extremely high number of applicants. Not sure about other schools( COE, Taubman).
Are you in state or oos? I know so many people in state who got in and decided to take their talents elsewhere. I have good feeling that they will let in a fair amount off waitlist.
OOS. That would be nice and fingers crossed!
So you joined today to share this? Who is the regional AO that told you this as I doubt this sort of information would be told to a waitlisted student at this juncture. This sort of communication from an AO has not been discussed on this board before in previous years so dubious as to the validity.
I have been following for a few weeks(once added to waitlist) but generally don’t participate in these types of blogs. Daughter has accepted spot at USC, waitlisted at other top choice U-Mich. The information from regional rep is exactly the kind of info we needed to handicap how long this might go on/ and how things look compared to previous years. Thought it would be helpful.
I am happy to stand down from contributing, just read what others post.
If it’s true that an AO said this, it is very helpful. No other regional AO has provided anything other than a stock reply (at least what’s been posted here)
I appreciated your info, RGASR5. Thanks for posting.
