I am applying to the College of Engineering. I plan on pursuing my lifetime dream of Computer Science.

Will I be accepted?

What should I aim for on my ACT which I am taking in June?

above a 32
being Indian(are you indian or native american) and going to engineering is the one thing that will bring you down. so a 32+ would make up for that.
If you’re native american, you’re def. getting in.
read below what I think.

one piece of advice: why don’t you get recruited to a college? MIT, Ivies, any of those would accept you as a recruit with even a 2100 on the SAT(31 on the ACT). And you’d get a full ride to some of the Ivies with that, considering your low income. and you’re a freaking native american URM. Like an Ivy is too easy for you to get into. Go for it.

Seriously recruiting could be the one thing in this world that boosts you to a whole new level. If you get a 34 or higher(2300+) then who knows, you might get likely letters from Ivies.

I agree with kidPenn, around a 32 or possibly even a 31 will be enough to give you a strong shot at UMich.

kidPenn - what does URM stand for?

Under Race Minority i.e. African Americans, American Indians, Hispanics

you mean Under Represented Minority

Getting recruited for sports to an Ivy is not an easy task. Generally speaking you need to be all-state or the equivalent in your sport to rise to that level. Merely being the captain of your high school team is usually not enough.
However, the OP has many strong factors that would make him a compelling candidate at top schools.
If you are a native american your chances are dramatically improved.
As far as the ACT goes, you should aim for a 36 of course. But I think anything over a 30 would be great. And even if it turns out slightly below that I think you should still apply:)
Good Luck!
