I am looking to apply to the University of Michigan this fall. I have a 34 ACT, founder/president of school club, varsity wrestling captain 2yrs, varsity football 3yrs, powerlifting 2 years, jazz band, symphonic band, honors band, marching band, quiz bowl, 3.96 UW GPA, 6 AP classes, volunteering, summer job, but I received a suspension my freshman year for sexual harassment which I completely deserved and am fully ready to admit my wrongdoing for, and I honestly grew from ( it snapped me into reality for the first time and showed me how actions have consequences, and I haven’t been the same since), however I also was suspended my junior year for one day for a “cyberbullying” incident (a satirical video for a school project) that had no intention of hurting anyone’s feelings and where I was the sole person in a group of 5+ people that apologized to the people being satirized outside of a school setting. I know that showing my regret for one suspension and explaining how I grew from it and became a better person won’t negatively affect my chances that badly, but two suspensions seems like I’m screwed. The second suspension was taken off my record (only the principal can see) but I still feel like I should say something about it, however I feel like it will ruin my chances and U-M is the only place I want to go, however naive that is. Advice?
Curricular and extra-curricular wise you’re great. Write you’re essays effectively to guarantee your admission. Even though you’ve performed well throughout your hs career, the school report might bring you slightly down. But don’t worry too much because there’s an order of importance the undergrad committee follows and you’ve fulfilled most of the top requirements.

Your suspensions sound pretty serious. Sexual harassment and cyberbullying are pretty heinous offenses in the context of high school. You can’t do anything about it now.
First of all: follow-up with the principal to make sure in fact that no one else will know about suspension #2.
Then talk to your GC to see if he/she will be including mention of this in their letter to colleges
Then ask your parents to request a copy of your FULL transcript to be mailed home. It can be an unofficial copy, but they need to ask for the same one that the colleges will see.
