Did you reference what area of study you were considering (even though you were undeclared in your post)? They may not have known where to put you yet. They are still building a patchwork quilt of diverse students for #Victors2023. Make sure you write a LOCI and let your AO know where you ‘fit’ and that, if accepted, you plan to attend.

Does anyone know how many people are normally deferred and what percent of those get in?

Son deferred for CoE from OOS. 7th in his class out of 216, UW 3.89, W 4.67, 1470 SAT with 770 in Math/680 Verbal. President of NHS, Senior Class President, Eagle Scout, Varsity Letter in Soccer, plus over 200 hours community service. Visited campus and did HAIL interview. I guess he’ll hang on to hear in the spring!
