@Malluman awesome profile! Kittiyo? (decision is not mentioned) Congratulations!
@malluman where are you hoping to land? You already got Michigan!
Going to campus day OOS admitted early action LSA. will be applying for Honors
still weighing my options as I wait out other schools but Umich is a huge contender.
Im just not a Greek life sort of person and would prefer to be into my studies and the huge campus appears overwhelming…
@isitme. As you will see at campus day you don’t have to do anything with Greek. My son doesn’t. The campus is not that bad once you are there. Central campus will be where most your classes are at and that is not very large at all. Also joining groups /clubs makes a large university small.
Hey so I got into Michigan but I’m confused because I saw some people talking about campus day or something throughout different comments but this is the first i’m hearing??? can anyone elaborate??
i also haven’t received my packet yet and i live in NJ
nevermind i figured out what campus day is
Anyone in-state engineering get their admittance packet in the mail yet?
I am in-state and received my admission packet for nursing in the mail today
My in-state son got his engineering packet today.
I just received my admission packet today as well. oos (IL)
@isitme Try reading this blog post by UMich, it addresses some of those concerns you expressed. https://admissions.umich.edu/explore-visit/blog/9-huge-university-michigan-misconceptions-and-why-they-are-so-so-wrong
Thanks that was helpful, looking forward to my campus visit.
Any word on when we get the FA packet?
As an OOS Im hoping that its reasonable and makes it possible to attend .
@isitme I believe early March
Does anybody know what it means when my financial aid document status says “requested”?
A document status of requested means they are waiting for you to submit it to them. You should see a view/print link to the right. Click on that to access the document you need to fill out and submit.
Letter came today- NJ:)
Does anyone which schools or colleges have historically been more selective? I know that I should choose a major that I want, but I am just curious. Thanks!
I like two majors related to writing in two different colleges.
Big envelope came in today for DD.
OOS
@trish154 traditionally Engineering and Ross are more competitive, LSA less so
I can’t speak as to the other freshman-admitting units
