You guys should be fine~as long as you turned the application in on time and the extra stuff doesn’t come in too late they should be okay with it.
Yes you are right. I called UMich and they say you will be fine as long as you submitted your application before ddl and your status is now complete.
@jkachen I don’t want to make you worried bro, but you should definitely send Umich an official score report from ETS if you are a non-native English speaker. I doubt they will accept your screenshot.
You can send me an email if you have further questions. My school email starts with rran.
I recently got an email from umich telling that they were missing my gap year explanation. (I forgot to include it in the common application). I quickly uploaded it via the portal, but now I am concerned that I have effectively ensured that I would be rejected. Is there still a chance for someone like me?
It might be too late to send anything right now but I’m not sure. But also, I got my acceptance yesterday around 12 pm. And no you don’t have to have a perfect academic profile to get in. I submitted my application Jan 31 and they didn’t receive my HS transcript until feb 7.
They did ask me to upload it so I did. I was just concerned that it makes me look bad. I am sorry if I cluttered this thread with something that shouldn’t have been posted here. Thank you for your response.
I just got into LSA!
My stats:
In-state community college
3.95 GPA
60 credits 48 transferable
Computer Science Major
High school GPA: 1.6
SAT: 940

I devoted a lot of time editing and revising my essays during my winter break.
If anyone has any questions let me know.
Still no word for me.
I’m an in-state transfer. I’ve been waiting since mid-January (or so), not as long as some other folks but still frustrating as hell. I chatted with someone at UMich today, she gave me the standard response – “early April, latest release of admissions decisions.”
Good luck everyone!
I haven’t heard anything either! I applied in December for summer transfer.
Sucks waiting so long.
HS GPA: 3.8 weighted
College GPA: 3.6
Credits: 26 including the ones I’m taking this semester
SAT: 1080
Transferring to LSA and only had two rec letters
I think they evaluate people more on their essays and background.
can anyone who is from out of state and was accepted post their stats? thanks!
can I ask who is your counselor? thanks ! @Transferstu5487
I’m not sure how to view who my counselor is.
@Transferstu5487 How many semesters did you finish
Just me or do the transfer and freshman threads seem lighter than expected for this wave?
My son just showed me he was accepted. (He doesn’t do
these forums. I like it.) He just got the email today to check his portal; the portal notification is dated February 24.
