I've had my heart set on U-Dub for quite a while, but was recently accepted into a very competitive at U-Mich. U-Mich has a somewhat better reputation than U-Dub, but is also known for being full of pretentious rich kids and from what I've heard people work themselves like dogs just to get maintain a B average. Plus, I'm very much a city girl...living in Seattle really appeals to me. Last, but certainly not least, I'm a Washington resident.

This is a no brainer in terms of going for U-Dub, or should I be giving U-Mich serious consideration as well?

is it worth the extra money to pay the out of state for university of michigan?
And can you afford the extra money?
(even if you’re parents are paying for it…it’d be awful to make them pay that much extra money when it’s obvious you’d rather go to uw anyways)

I think you’ve answered your own question In state tuition for a school you love is a blessing!! Seattle is awesome. But congrats on UMich! A great school too.

If you got pre-admit into Ross, choose UMich. If you’re doing anything other than that (Engineering, LSA, etc.) go to UW. The only way OOS tuition is worth it over UW is for Ross bc it’s a target school for a TON of jobs whereas Foster is not.
