@pumped4xmas I heard back March 4th and my school’s name starts with an R
Mine starts with an A and I haven’t heard back yet!
O and I haven’t heard back
@Much2learn Most correct thing anyone has stated on this thread, count your blessings
Okay so Michigan is NOT only giving out rejections?
I applied on november 3rd and have not heard back, and michigan is my top choice. first school I applied to, last to hear back from.
Portal is down guys…
I’m an international student and nobody in my school has heard back yet…don’t have an optimistic feeling now
Too much conjecture. I think this is also counter-productive. One approach would be to assume the worse. Anything different would be a bonus.
Assume? I know it. 2310 and 800. Tests are irrelevant. Rejected everywhere. High scores used to open doors. no more.
aw don’t say that, things are just v competitive this year. where else did you apply? there’s still hope for u of m!!
@ethellou I FEEL YOU!!! Rejected everywhere as well. It freaking sucks.
I wouldn’t bet on it.
@ethellou I understand how you feel. I am an international applicant and have been rejected by almost all schools that I applied to, (except a waitlist by UChicago). But my SAT 1 score is lower than you, but I certainly hope for the best for the both of us, and everyone else on here too!
Should have worked harder. Only me to blame. Still aghast that my scores seem invisible.
@ethellou Don’t be so hard on yourself please. I know it feels really bad, but trust me, this isn’t the end. I am sure that you are amazing as a student, and would definitely get into a good college. So cheer up, and I guess try to stay calm, as Ivy Day comes tomorrow!
(I personally have very low hopes to be honest, but still, I know that we all are amazing candidates and will end up in a good place. And trust me, if they rejected you, it’s their loss. )
I really want to get into this school and I sent in my application in early December… haven’t gotten a decision email from the admissions office yet. I’m really worried now… Do you guys think I can get in with 3.85 gpa UW & 32 ACT!!!
@soonincollege3 Your scores are fine and well within their range. They’ll be considering the other parts of your application as well
Yeah honestly, once you get to college you’ll realize that undergrad is not as important as you think it is. Of course if we’re comparing UMich to like Schoolcraft Community College there is a distinction, but in terms of UMich vs UVA, or UCLA, or Boston College, or any school around that, it honestly won’t matter in the long run. It’s up to you to make the most of whatever school you end up going to, and honestly for any type of graduate school (medical, dental, law, business, etc.), that’ll matter more than the name of the school that you go to.
I know some people have gotten in RD already, so if I haven’t do I have any chance at all? Already rejected from almost all my other reaches and I’d rather not attend my current #1 (UCSB).
