@i2400ezpz You are not rejected until they tell you. It’s not over yet
Do you think they release decisions by intended major, or something like that? I was admitted to SMTD and also applied to LSA for philosophy, and most of the people I’ve heard have gotten into LSA or other schools for science related majors. Haven’t heard back from LSA yet
@etsy98 No, there isn’t a pattern. Technically, all applicants are labeled as ‘undecided’ when they apply, though you can definitely express interest in a specific major. I got into LSA on Feb. 5th (planning to study sociology) but about 5 or 6 of my classmates got in earlier, in December. Some were science majors, some were not.
Wait people already got decisions?! Is Michigan rolling or something?
@ThatGirlCoder Yes, modified rolling admissions. I applied RD and was accepted last week (March 4th)
can I ask when you applied? @NICE8x
@unusually I applied about a day or so before the deadline. I was honestly shocked to hear back so quickly. It was the last app I did and the first decision I got back.
Is it bad if I haven’t heard this far in?
Just out of curiosity, how hard would it be to add on a degree in LSA if you start out just in SMTD? Still haven’t heard from LSA yet but just in case I’m rejected, I’d like to have an idea.
I applied on 8 th December still havent heard? ( btw I applied to the CoE)
@etsy98 It’d be very easy. As long as you’re doing well in your courses, you can meet with an LSA advisor at the end of your first year to add one of their degree programs.
Has any RD applicant that applied to LSA received any feedback about the decision yet?
@amunoz2020 You mean recently? I heard back March 4th during that wave of decisions. I got my welcome packet in the mail the other day. Since then? I don’t know. 14 kids applied at my school and I’m the first and so far only one I believe to have heard back.
my son applied end of January for CoE. never heard the decision yet. do you know when they normally release decisions?
@azoldtech I applied at the end of January too. It’s modified rolling…so they release decisions in batches through April. There is no “one date”. So I heard back already, but many at my school have not. I think I’m the only one who has been accepted at my school so far.
@amunoz2020 Oddly enough, I’m one of the few left at my school who hasn’t received a decision yet; a lot of kids I know got in a few weeks ago for regular decision. Not sure if LSA, though, but most likely.
@ mrezy33 I got in for architecture today! good luck for those who are waiting
Honors decisions are supposed to come out today, apparently — anyone know what time, and whether they’re emailed or updated on the portal?
For those of you who got in: where do you guys live? Would that play a role in how quickly we can hear back?
@anzhilin I live in MA. But no one else at my school besides me has heard back yet.
