All right, Michigan runs on semesters and students take at least 12 credits (about three courses) each semester. What is the total amount of credits you can take without having to pay extra? How many credits is each course, usually? And how many credits do most people take a semester?

You can take 18 credits without having to pay more. Most introductory classes are 4 credits, and seminars/higher level classes tend to be 3. How many credits people take greatly varies. I know people who took 12 and struggled/partially dropped out, and I know someone who took the equivalent of 22ish credits (they did a number of classes for reduced credit) and did just fine. I'd say 16 is par for the course.

They shouldn't give credit for varsity football anymore, because they cannot beat Ohio State to save their pathetic maize asses!
