<p>Poor square. :frowning: When I first got to campus I joked that the squirrels made me miss my dog less, since they were following me around and begging for food. lol</p>

<p>I have never seen black squirrels in Ann Arbor, not even at the arb or anything. I see them a LOT in Detroit and once or twice in Farmington Hills, so Michigan does have them, but not A2. A2 just has the red/brown squirrels so far as I know.</p>

<p>East Lansing has black squirrels also, which seemed to be relatively big and friendly. There also were a good number of albinos when we lived there. Does anyone know anything about the genetics involved?</p>

<p>I just saw some pictures of Ann Arbor squirrels on Flickr. They are very cute, but stunningly fat!</p>

<p>Squirrels here are vicious and fearless. One of them fought me for my sandwich. I only managed to get away after another squirrel came and challenged it. I must disapprove of any school with a club that actively encourages interacting with squirrels. It can only end in tears.</p>

<p>I thought that they seem to stay confined to small areas, but this article says they do spread out.</p>
