do we think they’re gonna take any further action at all? not like i was expecting anything, but i just wanna know
ofc they will
they prolly just started
I actually don’t care about it any more
^ yeah same honestly I have 0 hope for this, just trying to keep myself occupied before the final rejection comes haha
I received the PA update the other day and still have not got an update to my waitlist status. I think the update was the fact that Ross is done admitting PA students.
has michigan EVER sent something out during the weekend?
no lol i gave up with them
yea last year
saturday at 12
I continue to believe you will receive positive news from COE based on the fact that you received the communication from Ross.
I completely agree with you that the notification is to inform you Ross is no longer admitting students for Preferred Admission.
Here is my thinking.
Supposedly, Ross can only receive and review your application after you have been admitted to COE (your “clearing school” in this case).
Based on the process they outline, Ross has no way of knowing you applied unless they received your application from COE. Supposedly, COE will only forward your application to Ross after admitting you.
All this being said, I recognize it is possible that the process is not as I understand it.
it may be possible that Ross is still going but LSA isn’t
@chicagokid756 Ross has concluded all of its reviews, other than those specifically on the Ross waitlist.
wait really? I was thinking that they are still trying to take people that have gotten into the “clearing school” as you mentioned. i’m an LSA applicant and i’m not very hopeful at this point with any updates they might give us.
@chicago756 My understanding is as follows:
Ross is no longer reviewing any more applications, other than those specifically on the Ross waitlist.
If you get off the waitlist at your clearing school (LSA, COE, etc), Ross will no longer review your application for Preferred Admission to Ross.
You will be apply to apply to Ross (for regular decision) at the end of your Freshmen year.
I think my daughter is getting ready to throw in the towel and go to University of Toronto.
Good luck to all.
im just gonna get rid of all my hope and prepare for the worst
@panda2002 Your reasoning actually makes a lot of sense. But, it’s just confusing why they wouldn’t let people know they got into their clearing school for this long leaving them in a state of confusion lol. Regardless, I emailed them and will let you know how they respond.
Also if anyone applied to Ross PA and didn’t receive an email, that would be helpful to know.
I agree with you completely! That’s why I thought you would have heard positive news from COE last week.
If someone (i) applied to Ross Preferred Admission, (ii) is still currently on the waiting list for their “Clearing School” and (iii) did not receive a communication from Ross, that would be extremely useful information and support my theory.
anyone hear from the ross waitlist?
not sure about Ross, but someone said they got off the LSA waitlist last Monday
LSA is pretty huge… I sincerely hope there are still more chances to get off the waitlist. Praying that we all get off!
Keep in mind that Michigan has not announced their final fall plans yet. Just some sound bits to get some feedback and thought. That will happen most likely in the next week or two. If people will drop out and decommit for the fall term I would expect some movement. But keep in mind Michigan already over committed. Also some movement of Ross, nursing, Smtd etc are independent of LSA and don’t correlate well.
Wish you all well.
