University of Michigan Winter 2019 Transfer Thread

Is anyone’s counselor Zach Marentay? and has anyone heard anything from him?

It’s so odd that instead of releasing waves of decisions it’s more individualized. So confusing.

Just got accepted today! Go Blue!!

@granolast Congrats! Did you apply to LSA as well?

Yes, I applied to LSA. I was waitlisted as a senior for Fall 2017 and had 45 transferable credits

@granolast congratulations! If you don’t mind me asking, what was your GPA like and who is your admissions counselor?

Has anyone heard from Kinesiology?

Does u of m normally ask for midterm reports around this time for transfer students

Personally, I don’t think they will since public schools usually don’t require that stuff. @Jess47

@bluegoul1 Irma Guzman was my admissions counselor. My cumulative GPA was a 3.82 which included dual enrollment in high school.

I have 30 credits and 16 in progress . Do you guys think that it is too small

It’s on the school website

It’s normal. At least in my opinion.@Jess47

@Jess47 I don’t think so… I have a similar amount. What were your high school stats like? And current GPA

My high school grades weren’t good , I went to high school in Africa. Will that affect my decision?

@Jess47 no tbh I think that makes you an even more interesting applicant

Don’t really use CC that much but I’ve been following this thread closely so I’ll chime in.

I got accepted into LSA today at around 3 PM. CS preference.

Stats:
- Attending big state school
- ~ 3.80 GPA
- 30 ACT
- Pres of a competitive student org, board member of another (one of most influential ones on campus)
- No financial need/aid requested.

If anyone has any questions lmk.
