University of Minnesota Life

I was recently accepted to U of Minnesota. Does anyone have any idea what campus life is like? How are the dorms and living conditions? Food? Faculties? People? It’s a little intimidating if I want to go up North for college, because I have lived in the South (Texas) my entire life. Thanks for replying!

Just to clarify, it’s the main campus (Twin Cities)

Hi there! First, I just want to say I’m so glad you expressed interest in Minnesota! It’s such a fantastic institution. I have lived in Minnesota all my live and I grew up watching basketball and hockey games there. They built a brand new residence hall just for freshman in 2013. Even if you’re placed in a different residence hall they are all very nice. There are tons of options for food on campus. I know people who are attending that really like the food but if you’re in the mood for something else there are really good places in Dinkytown like Annie’s Parlor, The Loring Pasta Bar, Mesa Pizza, etc. Plus, the campus is just across the river from Minneapolis. All of the faculty I’ve met are very friendly and want their students to succeed. The facilities on campus are world class. The students on campus are friendly as well. If you have any other questions just let me know! @satxcollegekid‌
