Hello all. So I'm going to be going to school next year, I'm kinda late(22), but I think it's for the better because I'm a way better artist than I was 4 years ago. I just think I have a better chance of getting some good scholarships for my portfolio. I'm basically relying on it, because I don't think my family is gonna be able to contribute much, if anything.

Anyways, I live in Alabama and obviously this isn't the artsiest place to be and we don't have that many art programs to choose from. And there is no way I can go to school out of state. It would just be too expensive. So I was wondering if anyone has heard of University of Montevallo. I just heard about this place a couple months ago. I have a couple friends that go here, and this place is known for their Department of Art. Aside from Business, it's their most popular department.

Okay so I'm gonna be majoring Painting and minoring in Drawing. So my question is, do you think it really even matters what school you go to, if you're majoring in fine art? I got the passion, and I just think it really just comes down to the individual when it's a major like this.
