University of New Hampshire--What it's like?

I am a junior in high school. I have my heart set on the University of New Hampshire because of its relatively close location to home [I’m in Mass] and plan on visiting there during February break. I wanted to know more about the experiences the people on here have had with the campus, visiting the campus, what the atmosphere is like, what the people are like, and about the rigor of its academics [I want to be a philosophy major]. What is the environment of the campus like?

I visited last summer and LOVED IT. I visited geneseo, umass amherst, oswego, alfred, and houghton on the trip as well and UNH was my fav. It is a total college town feel that was nice and the perfect size, at least for me. Small, but still interesting and fun. Pizza places, coffee shops, etc. The buildings are GORGEOUS, totally new england-y, haha. The town seemed really laid back, friendly, and relaxed. Though the town of geneseo may have been cuter, something felt very right about UNH  of course, Im from California so any place with such gorgeous brick buildings and new england feel makes me freak. Haha good luck!

I just got accepted and I couldn’t be happier
