University of Notre Dame Early Action 2009!

FYI…don’t usually try to look at people’s stats. Just usually read alot…how do you check those? Do you just click on their name?

eagle im the exact same way
it makes me nervous knowing that they have acceptances and I have nothing
I called ND yeterday and they said everything was sent out at the same time…

I did Notre Dame with Questbridge and I was a finalist for there prgoram however my guidance consuelor did not send my transcript so the rescinded my Questbrodge scholarship and considered me for early action…tho’ my stats pale in comparsion to everyone else’s (SAT score and GPA) Y seriously overcame alot to get where I needed to go a they love my story that I wrote for Questbidge essays, common app essay and their supp…and they gave me the disitnction of Notre Dame Schola considering my story, my SAT II and whole other stuuf i.e awards and acheivements…DONT UNDERESTIMATE ME!!! iT IS A TERRIBLE THING TO DO TO SELL ME SHORT!!!
oH AND i AM A BLACK MALE!!!

Not to be inconvenient, but what is ND scholar and what does it do for you?

I still have not gotten my letter in the mail, and I live in Ohio. I would like to know if anyone else did not receive their letter today or in the past?

I didn’t get mine yet!

I better get it today or I’m flipping a **** when I call the office. D<

I’m still waiting for my mail to come…

Notre Dame scholar is just an academic distinction nothing more. Just something to put on your resume

Okay I STILL did not get my letter.

ALL my friends who applied already got their letter. WHAT IS THIS!!?!?!? This is so ****ing unfair!

Now my college counselor is throwing a hissy fit (understandably) because I don’t have a final list of colleges yet.

Ok so i recieved my letter and I was DENIED…and I’m a urm

Please help…

Bigtalker, if ND is your top choice, perhaps prep the hell out of the January SAT test date, buckle down and get some fantastic first semester grades. Nonetheless, ND is a reach for everyone, especially those under ~2000 SAT.

You have a little more freedom with test scores since you’re African American, but they are still very low as they stand right now. Just work on getting those up, and pray that first semester’s grades help out your cum. GPA a lot. I don’t know if you will for sure get accepted, but I think you will probably still be competitive.

still no word from virginia, i guess i’ll hear monday…

Thanks for the advice eagle and csmith27! My gpa has actually been a 3.7 since junior year. My cum is just so low because I had a bad freshman year and a very, very poor sophomore year…as of right now Syracuse is on the top of my list. And USC(which I understand is a reach) is 2nd.

Bigtalker, I’m in Philly too. Just got accpeted to ND, Villanova, West Point in the last three days. Did the Cardinal really get you a letter? That’s sick.

My advice is the same as from eagle2010. Bust 'til the January SAT and put it in full gear from now until the end of the semester. You seem to have great Extracurriculars and other stuff though! Good luck with Syracuse, my friend just got in there ED.

Shyman, nice job on getting in.

mmAllies, don’t worry, you probably get it Monday.

Thanks Chrissmith332 are u goin
