Which is better academically?

I don’t know very much about UoPacific except that I hear it mentioned with regard to its pharmacy program from time to time. I am told the campus is very pretty, although the town of Stockton itself tends to turn off some students.

How they compare academically is not a simple call. The admitted student stats are somewhat higher at UOregon. As for what makes a school “better” academically… that’s a mix of so many things; the aptitude of admitted students, the quality of the faculty, the specific department of the student’s major, the outside-of-class educational opportunities. I think this is an area where one school might seem better to Student A and another to Student B. I think, on balance, UO would be perceived to be the better school by most folks – but perceptions like that can be vague and subjective.

I’m a big UO fan, but if you think your needs are better met be a smaller school like UoPacific, or you have an interest in one of their specialty pre-professional programs, then comparing it to a large flagship state university like UO might not get you to the best choice for you.

That’s weird; I thought the admitted/ attending students stats were higher for UOP than UO. You need to be careful because some schools like UOP like to describe their student GPA as unweighted in lieu of weighted.

Your argument that you need to find the best choice for you is weak.

I need you to tell me which is a better school, academically. Which one is ranked higher? Which one produces graduates that earn more? etc…

Can you get online and research those things yourself? Ranked by whom? I gather “better” for you means graduate earnings. Should that be broken out by major? The admitted student stats are available online via the common data set.

No; the earnings for all undergraduates. I don’t care about particular majors.
