Do dual degree program acceptances (LSM, Huntsman, NHCM, M&T etc.) come with regular admit decisions or are they separate?
Im applying to LSM and they sent me the same “march 30” email we all got a couple days ago. I think all penn undergrad program decisions get released together
Hi guys, I was deferred for the ED, and a min ago I login into the portal, and found that the status did not change with the deferred notification. Any of you got deferred has the status changed in the portal?
Out of 42,000+ applications why would the admissions office take the time to contact you over a missing document if they were not interested? My parents got lots of calls from the school that were interested. Resounding SILENCE from those who were not. Of course some of your parents are better at paperwork than mine! We will know tomorrow …
@lauren887 I’m not sure how sound this logic is. I think admissions officers in general try to build the best case they can per student. After all, they do not want to miss out on potential students. Ultimately, it’s safe to say that yes, they are interested in you if they want a missing document, but the proper answer to that would be, that they are interested in everyone. I’m also not sure whether your talking about financial aid documents or application documents, to which the latter my justification works. For the former, however, financial aid is discrete from the selection process and is calculated for each students concurrently. Ultimately, unless it’s a likely letter or an explicit mention of interest, I would not take too much weight with admissions officer communications.
so it says decisions can be viewed on the applicant portal, does that mean at 5:00 tomorrow when we log in, it’ll be the first thing we see?
@machiavelli1738 I THINK you’ll just see a “view update” link and when you click it you will be able to see your decision
So whats everyone’s plan b if it all goes down the drain tomorrow? Mine is U of Toronto.
@hibaibtoivy UCLA or UC Berkeley if I get in tomorrow. ^
@hibaibtoivy Uni in my own country (UK) if I don’t get into any tomorrow, which would probably be a bit cheaper and easier but I still really want to go to a US school.
And then the whole stress in a few years with grad school applications in the US…
My D received an identical FA docs request from UChicago and we all speculated that it was correlated with acceptance. She was waitlisted. If there is any correlation, it’s probably very limited.
If I don’t get into UPenn ,I will go to either Michigan , wisconsin , or Nebraska . Whichever Offers the best financial aid package!!!.
If I don’t get into Wharton, I’m committing to Boston College CSOM.
I’ll be going to Yale-NUS
Good luck everyone for tomorrow!
@Classtwentyone It will be the same for me if I don’t get into Penn, just swap out Nebraska for Minnesota!!
@bwalts61 that’s great! I am keeping Nebraska on my shortlist as they have a good program in my major and gave me a full tuition scholarship. Money talks!
I’ll be heading to Williams if I don’t get in anywhere else today or tomorrow!
Boston College if I don’t get into Tufts of Ivies.
For me Tulane if I don’t get into Brown or Cornell
