Thank you moderator(s) for deleting all the fraudulent messages. Your job is greatly appreciated by people actively following all these threads and panicking about every small thing - even if reported by fraudulent / sadists! Thank you.
who’s filming their reaction?? lol I wanna watch the videos that get published on youtube tonight.
I’ll probably film mine but will probably only post if I get in
@MedSciBud You’re welcome.
Were the people saying they called and got a decision lying? I thought they might be.
If I called that number do you think theyre gonna try to do anything to my application? I said my name
@stressedsenior99 Short of your threatening them, they’re not going to change your decision at this hour.
Dear All, please do not bother them just because someone else on this thread is spreading rumors. Do not act like dumb and become a cause of laughter at Penn Admissions Office.
I have no skin in the game. None of my kids were ‘Ivy’ material and as I await a final decision for/from my youngest from a non-Ivy I find myself drawn to the amazing kids and families who await word at 5 pm tonight from the country’s finest school. You are all amazing! The absolute worst situation you will be in after 5 pm is you will have a choice of some incredible schools, with many of your receiving hard-earned grants and scholarships. You’ve read it/heard it/hate it: these schools don’t define you, you define them. I do not envy the pressure you feel, but I admire the effort you’ve all given. Good luck and know you will succeed wherever you go.
Hey guys! I just wanted to pop on here and wish all of you guys the best of luck!!! I was accepted ED a couple months ago and I remember being in the same shoes that you guys are in right now the day decisions were released. I know there’s nothing I can say to stop the queasy feeling you get everytime you think about that moment of opening up your portal, but I just wanna say that I know you guys are all AWESOME people with AMAZING goals and dreams with SOOO much to offer to the world. No matter what happens, remember that! Good luck you guys! Hope to see you on campus next year ^-^
Upenn posted the following on their Facebook today. Good luck everyone
Members of the Class of 2021 hail from all fifty states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and Guam, with the highest representation from Pennsylvania, New York, California, New Jersey, Florida, and Texas. 172 students in the admitted class are current residents of Philadelphia. 46 percent of United States Citizens in the class self-identified as students of color. One out of eight admitted students are first-generation college students.
2,145 high schools are represented in the class. The class is comprised of students from 94 countries. This year, the number of international applications increased by 10 percent.
good luck yall, wishing you guys the best
Good luck you guys, its been great getting to connect with y’all. Idk what I would’ve done had i not found this thread.
Just a few hours to go, I hope we all go to bed peaceful tonight regardless of the outcome. Stay humble people
Anyone think being a “stateless” international student will hurt my application - like with the whole political chaos these couple months
“46 percent of United States Citizens in the class self-identified as students of color. One out of eight admitted students are first-generation college students.” - This speaks to the “anti-hookness” if you are not URM, 1st Gen.
they received around 39,000 applications and accepted a little less than 3700 of the applicants ,
Actually Dean Furda wrote today “The admitted cohort of 3,699 was selected from a pool of 40,413 applicants.”

Best of Luck everybody!
let’s say we get admitted, if we’d like to take a gap year whats the process for that?
If you are accepted and want to take a gap year, you need to commit to Penn, and then just tell them of your plans for the gap year, basically letting them know what you plan to do during that time. My son did that, and it was a very easy process.
