University of Pennsylvania Regular Decision

well it is a joke from another website that i have just adopted as normal speak.

so deal with it.

ATTN GHEY MENZ, LOOK @ E^2!!!

Haha you guys.

You don't think I've been trying to get their attention for years, bobobobobooboobooboobob

I think Esquared is coming on to you bobbobbob...

I think he is too........

I ready don't get these chances posts. I'm not only replying to this post, I just want to make a general statement about these kind of posts. Most people on this board are not in admissions, so they don't really know what will get you in and what won't. Others' inputs are cool and all, but if you check the school's site, then you can see the average scores of admitted students, which should give you a good idea of your chances. There is ALWAYS the "X" factor, so even people that seem to have great chances at getting in do not get in. I say just wait for the letter and stop clogging the board by asking people that don't make admissions decisions whether or not you will get in.

Sorry, just had to get that out.

They serve more of a purpose of temporay happy delusions from other, real people that would otherwise have to be satisfied by yourself.

They can never be truly accurate, but they help people with stress.....I've seen chance threads where (as far as I thought) the person had no chance whatsoever, lacking both the scores and the necessary personality to spice his app up, yet there were still some positive posts. That's enough to get him by until the admission decision nobody can completely predict.

Wow, trunks87, you're such a genius! I'm sure no one has heard this before. These chances threads are extremely popular, and it's quite pompous to think that by telling the OP off, you're somehow going to change a major portion of collegeconfidential. Don't waste your breath.

Dude. You've posted your stats in all the ivy threads. If people say you are a good candidate, then there is no reason to continue "showing" your stats to people.

^ = for tchaikovsky

he's stressed is all

I also agree with ESquared. Posting your chances just allows you to receive temporary relief. If you really want to know your chances, wait until March/April. -_-

Tchaikovsky, you have nothing to worry about for Penn. And to the other people who've posted above, you're the ones who are "showing" this thread (yeah bookfreak89, you've successfully helped show his stats off more) by bumping this thread. As you can see, tchaikovsky has not said anything for 15 posts, so there is no need to criticize him for "continuing" this. If you can't handle seeing an applicant with excellent stats, then don't look at this thread.

I am not against "chances" threads I just don't like it how the same people put up their stats everywhere. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. It just irritates me. yale08: How have I showed off his stats more by suggesting that he wait until March/April for his decisions

"How have I showed off his stats more by suggesting that he wait until March/April for his decision"

By bumping the thread to the top

bump bump bump

I posted my chances plenty of times before and recently, I realized they are all just bull. People here just rely on strict stats and a lot of guessing work to assses your chances, no one can really know your chances. They are plenty of cases where CCers thought the candidate would get rejected at every school but the applicants fare a lot better in actuality.

If you really want to get a hold of your chances.Try your conselors and/or the $89 service that CC offers. I had a few friends who did the CC thingy and their feedback was pretty postitive.

Did you finally get into Penn?
