<p>I have been accepted to pitt's freshman engineering program, I am concerned on how hard it is to take both chemistry and physics at the same time. Is it one of those schools that get progressively harder, or will the first two years be the hardest? On another note, do you like the school?</p>
<p>Not hard, everybody takes chem and physics together. I don't think it gets easier later on, but you are just accustomed to the work load. Pitt seems to be very interested in helping students succeed and the students are not at all cut-throat. They have a very good retention rate, so that must say something about the program.</p>
<p>I think the retention rate is ~75%? Oh, and physics+chemistry is not hard together at all. You get adjusted to it...or, there is always the school of business. The first year is the easiest, and it gets harder from there on. But fewer people drop out 2nd, 3rd, 4th year respectively because if you are not doing your work, you'll probably call it quits 1st year. Yeah, I like the school. But I hate the stupid construction work around the engr. building thats going on currently.</p>
