I'm really torn between these two schools. My financial aid package at F&M was better than Rochester (about $3,500 better), but I like Rochester's campus more. My sister also attends F&M. I would be going for business. Can anybody give me any insight as to what school has a better business program/any personal experience or advice you'd like to share. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Some of my pros and cons of each school:

Rochester Pros: Curriculum, KEY Program, better campus feel,
Rochester Cons: Distance from home (4.5 hrs), weather, more expensive

F&M Pros: Closer to home (1.5 hrs), cheaper
F&M Cons: Worse campus feel, sister attends

I guess it would depend upon how much your family can absorb that $3500. If it’s tough for them, I’d likely choose the less expensive school. If it’s not an issue, I’d go with best fit for the student (in your case UR).

I suspect academically for business, UR is better, but again, I’m not sure it’s worth 5 digits more in debt (over 4 years).

Only you (and your folks) can make that call.

The distance from home and weather would be non-issues here. They might be if you were talking 11 hours and/or southern vs northern, but you aren’t. UR is also right next to an airport…

Is there any chance that the “worse campus feel” at F & M is because your sister is there? How many years will you both be in college together?

Maybe check the course list for both schools to see if that is a deciding factor.

@FlyMeToTheMoon I don’t think it is due to the fact that my sister is there. I didn’t get the college feel even when we looked at F&M with her. The main reason I applied was to have a financially safe school. We would be there for two years together.
