@roroperez How do you have a 4.52 UNWEIGHTED? Doesn’t unweighted imply that top GPA is a 4.0?
Does anyone who has been admitted know if the current financial aid awards are scholarships or are they the amount the school will give you in terms of FAFSA
Does anyone know about admitted students days on campus? I couldn’t find any information on the website
@tennis24601 One of the webcasts from a few weeks ago said they hadn’t been scheduled yet, and that admitted students would be emailed when they become available for registration.
@mattrep0 Merit Aid Scholarships are out.
So if my daughter doesn’t have an admitted tab yet does that not bode well for her chances?
@socalmom007 Not at all. USD releases decisions throughout February and March.
@rockydog1 where did you find merit scholarship info?
@catbird1 thank you!
I received my acceptance package in the mail today! It says I have a Trustee Scholarship, but what does that mean? I was given a Presidential Scholarship to LMU and that had a lot of benefits, but I can’t seem to find what it means to be a Trustee Scholar at USD (if that makes sense lol).
Where are merit scholarships on the portal?
Daughter also received acceptance packet today which had the merit scholarship included (didn’t see anything on her portal when she was admitted a few days ago). She also got a Trustee Award which was described in the acceptance letter as providing $19,000/year for the 4 years as long as she maintains a 3.0. Also stated this was outside of financial aid potential award.
On the student portal under admissions tab.
Well, I’m definitely not a stellar applicant…GPA (W): 3.6 and GPA (UW): 3.12 with ACT of 33… but I got in to USD!
Merit scholarships are up! I got the $25,000 award (Alcala scholarship)! Act score 31 and GPA 4.35 weighted 3.93 unweighted:-) also does anyone know if there are any additional scholarships to apply for?
flyer17, did you see it on the Portal, or did you get hardcopy via mail?
Congratulations, that’s a great offer.
@flyer17 USD has a few additional scholarships (which are primarily departmental) on their website, but if you need further aid, you should be looking at outside scholarships. Since your application is also your consideration for merit scholarships offered through the school, I suspect there’s not much else you’re going to find through USD directly.
Hey- how do we know if we got in? What will our portal say?
When did you send in your application?
