It seems like no one else ive spoken to has heard back today so I wonder if they are holding off the remainder of the decisions to another day this week

Has anyone heard anything or had an application status change? Down to the final 48 hours…

Nothing for my D - Still same Complete Ready for Review. You would think if it were to be a rejection they could have notified that much sooner?

I have plenty of college acceptances and I am at this point curious & puzzled with the USD process & reached out. This is what I got 3/30/21, hopefully the info comes in handy for the future USD applicants.

The admission/decision release period is the entire month of March. (This is odd, like waiting for an item from overseas during Covid shipped via boat with 7-10 week delivery time. Some will get their deliveries but sorry if you haven’t yet, it’s coming.)

Their team of counselors evaluate about 14K apps Nov-Mar - “we take time to fully evaluate each one.” (Except with a whole bunch that are still waiting? Is it the computer input that’s taking so long? It doesn’t make much sense unless USD has already gone through all of the applications & now doing something else. MANY colleges read double this number of apps and send out results AT THE SAME TIME, which is so much more respectful)
Decisions released within March (They have today & tomorrow?)

My kid has been patiently waiting and as of 3:30pm on March 30th still had not heard a word. He has friends at his High School who have been accepted, others denied and other waitlisted. Yet he has not heard a word. I thought he made a lot of sense when he said if USD is going to be this disrespectful to me as a applicant, how are they going to treat me if I am accepted. He then confirmed his acceptance to Santa Clara. USD should do better.

some people in the zeemee gc said they got waitlisted today  idk what that means for the rest of us that haven’t heard back/status hasn’t changed from complete read for review

My D just got an email minutes ago getting Waitlisted in Psychology (we’re in-state). :frowning: She never checked her portal since it tells you in their email. She’s taking it very well for being one of her top schools. She accepted being on the list and we’ll wait and see. They said they would tell her anywhere from late April to summer. She got accepted with scholarships elsewhere but she really did want USD. Does anyone know how many they typically take off their list?

I heard about half stay on the waitlist. Best of luck.

My thought exactly. Santa Clara is an amazing university!

Two years ago my oldest son was put on the waitlist. He never heard from them again. They are consistent though. He got the email on March 31st at 4pm. The last possible time. I’m guessing that’s when my younger son will hear this year.

Was anyone actually accepted today??

Ya, still waiting, my D (applied for psychology) has heard from all of her schools except USD and one other private east coast college. She is leaning toward SDSU but waiting on final couple responses.

A few were accepted into USD for the spring term, so yes.
