University of South Carolina, Clemson, or Penn State

I have to make my choice before May 1st. I live in NC, and school is free from G.I. Bill. I plan to major in political science. Which school is best for Poli Sci?

Is cost an issue? Net price at each?

^ Sounds like cost is not an issue: “and school is free from G.I. Bill.”

It depends. My son loved USC, did not like Clemson, and wouldn’t even go look at Penn State. My daughter is next in line and she LIKED Clemson a lot, did not like USC, and wants to see Penn State.
Clemson is rural. USC is in a city. Both campuses are beautiful. Honors program at U of SC is ranked between #1 and #3 in the country, depending on who you ask. So is the Shreyer Honors at Penn State. Clemson is overall a better school than the general USC, but their honors program is not as well developed. They don’t offer nearly as many classes, and you only need to take 1 per semester. At SCHC, 1/3 of your credits have to be in honors classes. Honors residence is very nice, with its own cafeteria downstairs.

Sports are big and good at both. My son hates the orange/purple combination, but Clemson football and basketball has had one heck of a year.

It is warmer in SC, and almost intolerable in the summer…but you won’t be on campus then. It is cold and snowy at Penn State.

That’s all i’ve got. Hope it helps.
