University of South Carolina - really

Got accepted as a “pre” International Business major and Capstone scholar. I’ve also read that students can apply to the prestigious IB program as a sophomore with a minimum 3.65 GPA. But, I also understand that its very tough, nearly impossible to actually accepted due to “space constraints”, etc.
So how many students actually get into this program as upper classmen? Or is the “pre” part of the acceptance mostly a way to lure more students into the program with little hope of more?

The only students with guaranteed admission into the IB Program are those in the Honor’s College. The small number of remaining spots are filled through a highly competitive process. Looks like there is an annual cap of 160 students in the program, so open spots would be dependent on the number of honor’s students any given year.
