-i want to attend USC because i am aspiring to enter the international business sector with a major in sociology
-also, i have a lover and family (incl. an uncle, who conducts research there) in So Cal

p.s. realistic college choice suggestions are also very welcome and much appreciated
p.p.s. do you think my major choice will help me? if not, suggestions please :D

If I were you I would apply, but I would consider other California colleges- (LMU, Occidental, Whittier, UCI, UCR, UCSB). USC's undergraduation admission is highly competitive and I do not believe you stand a strong shot to secure admission. If this is your #1 choice, I would spend a great deal of time on my personal statement. You must explain your academic struggles, and that might open a door for you. I would consider a commmunity college in the area: (Santa Monica, LACC) and then consider applying as a transfer student.

I believe you do have a shot. Great EC's, Decent SAT score, but what may hurt a bit is the GPA. Alumni will be a good thing. Best of luck.

YES.....two thumbs up. Good Luck!
