I have gotten into the College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Austin as a Design major. I am choosing between going here and the Michigan (Ann Arbor) School of Art and Design. I definitely like Texas more as an overall school, but I'm nervous about the art school. Any one have any thoughts? I'm very confused and I'm open to all/any advice!

Overall undergrad ranking of Univ of Michigan is higher than UT-Austin (28th vs. 45th), but Austin’s BFA ranked slightly higher (22nd vs. 27th). Both are great schools in great college towns. Which did you enjoy visiting more? Which art program appealed to you more during your visit?

i am also looking into UT Austin as well! I like the city’s vibe, but I have no idea what kind of questions to ask the art department though… or particular things to watch out for. Do anyone have any advice for us newbies?
