University of Texas at Austin Class of 2023 Admissions

@ppxyz123 no later than Feb. 1

For those wondering about Plan II, in simple terms, I think most people consider it the most prestigious and difficult Honors program at the University of Texas at Austin. As I’ve heard it, it’s as close to an “Ivy League” program that you can get, without going to an Ivy League. It’s incredibly well rounded with STEM and Liberal Arts/Humanities courses and can be it’s owned stand alone major. We mostly see those accepted into it using it as a double major along with majors in McCombs, Cockrell, CNS etc. Congratulations to all those who are accepted into. You and your parents should be immensely proud.

There is also a Plan I Honors program that most refer to as Liberal Arts Honors (LAH). It is not a major but a nice liberal arts/humanities complement to any and all other majors.

Yes @bloque, she was accepted into Government on 12/7. That was her second choice major, she listed P2 as her first choice.

Oops, wrong reply. She applied in October.

she was in state, not auto admit (homeschooler).

You would think that all of the Turing notifications would have gone out by now, since the hosted Turing event for new students happens in early February.

@Meadow530 Huh, these timings are all over the place. I guess there really is no set order to honors admissions after all. Thank you so much for the reply!

So … no new acceptances yesterday - just decisions on majors & honors programs. At least there’s some admissions activity so we know they’re working :>)

Have any rejections been sent out? The way I read the website is that by February 1, all EA decisions will be sent and I would presume that will be rejections too. Anyone know?

It was my daughter. Yes, she was admitted to College of Natural Sciences first.

Most likely she was top 7% in her class. Automatic acceptance…

I was checking My Status and this morning my “to do” now says “waiting for review of you’re HS transcript” it says they have my transcript (bc they got it in October) but that now the office of admission has to review it. I’ve just never seen this and I checked it last night and it wasn’t there. Anyone know what this could mean?

Maybe they are waiting for a mid year report?

Does anyone know anything about a wave today?
Or should I just hold my breath until the 1st.

UThopeful222 it’s definitly possible, but unlikely

Doubt there’s going to be any big wave until Jan 31-Feb 1. Maybe a couple drops of acceptances until then but no wave.

@ilovehs that also came up on my feed a couple weeks back so I emailed the admissions office and they just said it was a glitch and that they had all the information from my school.

According to their counselor news today, some will hear the next few days.
