As we continue our work on fall 2019 freshman admission decisions, some of your students will hear from us over the next few days. We ask that you not announce this to students so they are notified through our normal emails and MyStatus messages.
Please keep in mind that we do plan to admit some fall 2019 students to the majors they selected as their second choice. The admissions process works the same for these students as it does for those admitted to their first choices — except MyStatus reflects that the major was the one they selected as their second choice when they applied for admission.
We are making good progress on decisions and will deliver admission offers (or deferral notifications) to all priority applicants no later than Feb. 1. All fall 2019 decisions will be made and delivered no later than Mar. 1.

I’m hoping this is part of the reason my daughter hasn’t heard back. She would honestly be just as happy with her 2nd choice major if accepted. She actually waffled several times between the 2 choices. Applied to Mccombs 1st choice, but not business honors. Applied to Moody 2nd choice, but DID apply to their honors program which has been zero announced acceptances for that honors program, best I can tell. In state non-AA (by 6 kids!), 1460 SAT and 31 ACT, strong resume, 3.93 unweighted GPA.
This wait has been crushing!!! Good luck to everyone still waiting.
DS just got admitted to McCombs tonight as a non-auto admit Texas resident. I am so happy that he got it as we were thinking he might have to go to Mays at A&M which was a hard pill for my wife and I to swallow as we are Texas Exes.
Texdad 56 - Pan 2 is prestigious indeed! Not as difficult as Turing or UT BHP to get in…based on last year applicants in the metro area I live in that has 4/5 Top Schools in TX!
I need to check again --but my recollection was Turing and BHP attract the brightest and best of all the students across TX…in fact, BHP, I know the numbers – Top 2% of the class ranks…would not surprised, if Truing is up there too!
